Following a request from a student, we have arranged a trial of
the database IPA Source. It’s an online library of nearly 12,000 opera arias
and art song texts in International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcriptions and
literal translations. To find it, go to OxLIP+ via
the link at the top of the SOLO page and either search for it by title or find
it in the list of New Resources and Trials. Please try it out and tell us what
you think. If you’re not in the library, you’ll need to log in to SOLO to get
